Instagram Goes After TikTok with New ‘Reels’ Mode
While TikTok is reaching new heights, Instagram is trying to replicate the platform by introducing a new feature called ‘Reels’.

WhatsApp Launches Product Catalogs for Small Businesses
WhatsApp Business is coming up with anew feature called ‘Catalog’.
This feature will help small businesses and startups better showcase their products and services. This, in turn, will help them in communicating detailed information about their offerings.
As explained by WhatsApp:
“Catalogs are a mobile storefront for businesses to showcase and share their goods so people can easily browse and discover something they would like to buy. Previously businesses had to send product photos one at a time and repeatedly provide information — now customers can see their full catalog right within WhatsApp. This makes business owners look more professional and keeps customers engaged in the chat without having to visit a website.”
YouTube Launches Updated Desktop and Tablet App Layout
YouTube is updating its presentation style with added new features. The new-look will provide more room for previews.
As explained by YouTube:
“This new look includes longer video titles and larger, richer thumbnails to give you clearer information about the video at a glance, plus higher resolution video previews. As part of this cleaner design, you’ll notice we’ve also removed some content shelves. You can still find rows of videos for breaking news, music mixes, and more.”
Alongwith this, YT is adding an ‘Add to queue’ option, which will enable you to create a series of videos that you want to playback to back.
Also, it is coming up with a feature called ‘Don’t recommend channel’.
Facebook Launches Updated Company Logo Which Will be Included in All of its Apps
Facebook is introducing its new corporate logo, to distinguish the parent company from its subsets.
As explained by Facebook:
“People should know which companies make the products they use. […] Today, we’re updating our company branding to be clearer that these products come from Facebook. We’re introducing a new corporate logo and further distinguishing the Facebook company from the Facebook app, which will keep its own branding.”

The new logo will be included in all its apps, with a distinguishable ”from Facebook” communication.

This will help to better inform users of Facebook’s involvement in each.
Facebook Will Implement Limits on How Many Ads a Page Can Run in 2020
Facebook is soon going to put a limit on how many ads a Page can run at any time.
As explained by Facebook:
“In mid-2020, we are implementing a limit on the number of ads each Page can run at the same time. The ad limits will impact just a small percentage of advertisers, and we plan to share more details about the limits early next year.”
“We’re implementing ad limits because very high ad volume can hinder an advertiser’s performance. With too many ads running at the same time, fewer ads exit the learning phase and more budget is spent before the delivery system can optimize an ad’s performance.”

This includes ’10-Second Video Views’, ‘Cost per 10-Second Video Views’ and ‘Unique 10-Second Video Views’.
